Lord Huron to return to UK

Don’t get too excited though – it’s not until after Christmas (but at least now you know what to ask for !).  Lord Huron will be bringing the sounds of their 2015 album Strange Trails back to the UK, and no doubt there will be some exposure for the world conquering debut album Lonesome Dreams. Lord Huron are now an official band – having started life as a project for frontman and songwriter Ben Schneider.  Strange Trails took the eerie and high sounds of the not a million miles from the Lumineers Lonesome Dreams into a darker and rockier place.

The latest record was written and produced by frontman Ben Schneider and recorded at the band’s own Whispering Pines studio in Los Angeles. Strange Trails is described as an anthology of weird fiction. Schneider explains, “There’s no direct narrative connection between the two albums. The stories here are separated by time, location and characters. Many of the themes have carried over and evolved.”

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
