Alicia Toner “Forget About It” – Listen

One of the amazing things about AmericanaFest – yeah, sorry, we’re still going on about that, we should probably get out more – is discovering bands and singers that you’ve not really come across before.  One such was Alicia Toner who wowed the Moth Club with her guitar and fiddle, her amazing voice and excellent songs.

Those who hadn’t trecked off to see Ferris & Sylvester –  who were on at the same time at the nearby Oslo – got to hear stuff like this song.  And, as we may already have said, it was excellent.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
