Black Deer and Red Rooster are on for 2021!

Some good news for americana festival goers this year, as both Red Rooster and Black Deer looked like taking a hiatus for a second year due to falling foul of the government’s recent lockdown relaxation timetable which was announced earlier this week, but both festivals have now said that they will move their dates so they can happen. And hey, they’re now two months apart so you can go to one and be recovered in time for the other. Red Rooster moves from 3rd-5th June to 27th-29th August, while Black Deer moves back by just one week from 18th-20th June to 25th-27th June.

Red Rooster said in a statement: “With nearly 18 million people already vaccinated and a target of all UK adults being offered the vaccine by the end of July, Red Rooster is confident that we can finally welcome you back to our home at Euston Hall.” They also pointed out that the Monday is a bank holiday so you can go wild in the aisles as it were.

Black Deer meanwhile said in a statement: “We have taken this decision with the intention of delivering you one hell of a (safe!) summer party… we all need it, hey? Right now, we’re working with the hundreds of artists and vendors scheduled for the original 2021 dates to reconfirm as many of these great names as possible for the new dates.”

Artists for both rescheduled festivals are yet to be confirmed but you can keep up to date with them over at https://blackdeerfestival.com/ and http://www.redrooster.org.uk/
