John Prine won two awards at the Grammys on Sunday for his final recording, ‘I Remember Everything’ and Brandi Carlile has now released a studio version of her cover of it which she performed during the telecast’s “In Memoriam” segment. The acoustic song will appear on the upcoming tribute album ‘Broken Hearts and Dirty Windows: Songs of John Prine, Vol 2.’
Other artists due to appear on the second volume of the tribute album have not yet been announced which will be released via Prine’s Oh Boy Records later in 2021 and is already available for pre-order. The first instalment was released in 2010 and features covers by Drive-By Truckers, Justin Vernon, Conor Oberst and My Morning Jacket among others.
