Camille Delean “Fault Line (Late July)” – Listen

Camille Delean’s new album ‘Cold House Burning‘ was released in July, a follow up to the Montreal based singer’s debut of 2017 ‘Music On the Grey Mile.‘  The new material appears prescient in that it covers the inertia brought on by an illness  – it’s a study in homebound routine, isolation, small victories and defeats.  Does that sound at all familiar?

Fault Line (Late July)‘ itself specifically explores dangers   – both physical and psychological as Camille Delean explains: “It’s a hyper-anxious way of moving through the world.  Full of warnings, as if being alive meant getting away with something. A snapshot of a state of mind: a good place to visit, but not to linger.”

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
