Do you like free Grateful Dead music?

Well, then, you’re in luck – it’s 30 Days of November time once again.  Which means that for every day of this oh so special month the Grateful Dead will offer you – yes you potential or actual Deadhead – the opportunity to download a memorable live Track for absolutely free.  You can find more details here.

But wait, you say, what’s the deal here man, why tell me when seven days are gone?  I’ve missed like hours of Grateful Dead entertainment.  Na-huh, dude – you can download all the songs any day.  But keep going back for the new ones from now on.  Cool?  Yeah, cool.

This isn’t one of the downloads – well, I suppose it might be later on, but not, you know, as yet.  But it’s the Dead, and it’s pretty cool.  Groovy.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?

Isn’t there tons of downloadable sites floating around already? Back in olden times I had a Revox reel to reel and had many cherished bootlegs that I listened to. Now I have so app on my phone that will get me any show from multiple sources and all I listen to is the local classical station and occasional bluegrass. Go figure.
