Eliza Carthy releases third EP from upcoming album before starting tour

Blood on My Boots‘ is the third EP release from Eliza Carthy’s forthcoming album ‘Queen of the Whirl‘, followed by ‘EP IV‘ and the full album on October 28th. Featuring newly recorded versions of songs from her long career chosen by fans on Twitter, the album is a celebration of 30 years; the music has been reimagined with her band, The Restitution.

The lead track from the imaginatively titled ‘EP III‘ is ‘Blood on My Boots‘. The song, originally from the ‘Neptune‘ album (2011), recalls a good night gone bad when Carthy’s drink was spiked on a night out, culminating in a hospital visit. The other tracks are ‘Space Girl‘ from ‘Empire & Love by The Imagined Village‘ (2010) and ‘Two Tears‘ from ‘Wayward Daughter‘ (2013).

Queen of the Whirl’ will be released as a standard CD, Double 12″ vinyl, and a special limited-edition deluxe package on October 28th.

The release will be supported by a UK tour in November and December this year and a bonus evening in February at The Barbican in London.
