Exclusive AUK Mini-Gig: Jess Guise

These are strange times and many are isolating or just feel isolated.  To help life the gloom and spread some joy, we have been asking some of our favourite artists to record exclusive ‘mini-gigs’, performing just for you, dear reader.  Today’s show comes from Jess Guise.  ‘Countdown’ is a song Guise wrote about having to wait to see someone she loved, someone far away.

It’s an appropriate song choice for the strange times we’re in.  Beautifully performed and sung, the song will bring a little light into your day.  ‘The Fun Part’, the new EP from Jess Guise’s band, Guise, is out now.  Guise is a folk-pop quartet, with Jess Guise accompanied by bassist Titas Halder, co-vocalist Laura Hanna, and drummer Keith Barry.  Check out the EP.

As Jess Guise says: “I hope you’re all doing alright out there in the chaos.”
