Get ready for Molly Tuttle – but be quick about it

Americana Music Association’s instrumentalist of 2018, Molly Tuttle, is about to embark on a UK tour later this month, but you’ll need to act fast seeing as 6 of the dates are already sold out. The supremely talented musician and singer-songwriter is about to launch her debut album, ‘When You’re Ready,’ backed up by latest single, ‘Million Miles.’

The 25-year-old has been feted in recent years for the high quality of her musicianship, receiving last year’s accolade along with the award for Guitar Player of the Year from the International Bluegrass Association (IBMA) in 2017 – the first woman to be nominated for the honour. Last year saw Tuttle performing for audiences at the likes of Celtic Connections, Mariposa Folk Festival, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, Americana Music Festival, Philadelphia Folk Festival, and she also got to support Jason Isbell at the first night of Jason Isbell’s sold-out run of shows at the famed Ryman Auditorium in October.

With all of this recognition, it’s easy to forget that Tuttle’s ‘When You’re Ready’ is still her first release. The 11 track album was produced and engineered by Ryan Hewitt (Avett Brothers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lumineers) and features Jason Isbell on backing vocals, as well as an appearance from Sierra Hull on mandolin. ‘When You’re Ready’ is released on April the 5th on the Compass Records label.
