In case you missed it: A UK festival announcement round-up.

Just before Christmas, many of the festivals announced their line-ups. They dropped exciting news about headliners, and some early-bird tickets went on sale, but in the wave of office parties, desperate gift wrapping, and dodging ‘Last Christmas‘ on the radio, things can get lost. Now the new year is here, and it is time to look forward to a long Summer of music. In order of occurrence, here is a summary of the festivals, their headliners, and where tickets can be bought.

Red Rooster:
Dates: 2-4th June
Location: Euston Hall, Suffolk

Headliners/acts announced so far: Mississippi Allstars, Cedric Burnside, Robert Finley, The Sheepdogs, and, Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express. The line-up details can be found at https://www.redrooster.org.uk/live-music-lineup.

Tickets start from £60.50 for a day ticket or £120 for the weekend and can be bought here.

Black Deer Festival:
Dates: 17th-19th June
Location: Eridge Park, Kent

Headliners/acts announced so far:
Friday: Jake Bugg, Imelda May, Foy Vance (Headliner not revealed).
Saturday: Wilco, The Waterboys, Pokey Lafarge,
Sunday: Van Morrison, The Dead South, Drive-By-Truckers, Irish Mythen

Cambridge Folk Festival:
Dates: 28-31st July
Location: Cherry Hinton Hall, Cambridge

Headliners/acts announced so far: Clannad, Passenger, Seasick Steve, St Paul & the Broken Bones, Suzanne Vega, Spell Songs, This is the Kit.

Sidmouth Folk Festival:
Dates: 29th-5th August
Location: Sidmouth, Devon

Headliners/acts announced so far: Kate Rusby, Eddi Reader, Show of Hands, The Spooky Men’s Chorale, Spiers and Boden, Jez Lowe + Granny’s Attic, Yves Lambert Trio. Pre-festival shows with Steeleye Span and The Fisherman’s Friends.

The Long Road Festival:
Dates: 26th-28th August
Location: Stanford Hall, Leicestershire

Headliners announced so far: The Cadillac Three, Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives, Lo Cash, Brandi Clark, Gretchen Peters, and Sarah Shook and the Disarmers.

Maverick Festival:
Dates: 3rd-5th September
Location: Easton Park Farm, Suffolk

Headliners announced so far: Steve Forbert, Vandoliers, Baskery, Rod Picott, Karen Jonas, JD Wilkes and the Legendary Shack Shakers, Mickelson, Kara Grainger, Evangeline Gentle, and, Ryan Hamilton.
