Jackson Lynch ‘Hurt Me’ – cruising for a bruising….

Photo: Don Fierro

Jackson Lynch is the first to admit that he has it coming – he’s done something wrong and if his baby chooses to exact some revenge through physical or emotional means then he’s ready to take his punishment.  An old fashioned sentiment (we’d suggest some form of mediation or counselling might be a better approach) but then this is an old fashioned pre-war blues style of a song so you have to cut it some slack.

The song is taken from the new album ‘All by my Ownsome‘, which features an intersection of folk, country, blues and gospel.  Out now digitally and on vinyl in January.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
