Lucinda Williams and Richard Thompson are first Cambridge 2019 headliners to be announced

The organisers of Cambridge Folk Festival have announced the first 15 names confirmed for 2019’s line-up, with legendary artists joining relative newcomers to take to the stages of Cherry Hinton Hall. The biggest names is probably our very own americana icon Lucinda Williams, but there’s also some other ace stuff on the list including Swedish-Argentinian singer songwriter José González, Richard Thompson playing a solo acoustic set, Ralph McTell, Tunng, Fisherman’s Friends, Karine Polwart, Lisa O’Neill, Lil’ Jimmy Reed & The A Team, Talisk, Nancy Kerr, James Fagan & Friends, Sam Sweeney, Rura and finally Texan native Jarrod Dickenson. Nick Mulvey will be the guest curator for 2019; taking over the reins from Rhiannon Giddens, he will be selecting his favourite artists to join him at the Festival as well as taking to his hometown stage throughout the weekend.

The festival will take place between 1st-4th August and tickets are available now from their website here.
