Lucky Overton’s new single ‘Watch Your Back‘ is taken from the upcoming album ‘College Town‘ which is released on the 3rd of February.  It’s a soulful and powerfully sung piece of mostly acoustic Americana with Lucky Overton hitting the guitar strings and hollering the vocals whilst “Big” Jon Myers wails on harmonica, Ben Tillman adds Slide Guitar and Rafe Sweet multi-tasks on bass, brushes & percussive foot stomping.  Describing his music Lucky Overton says “It’s soulful Americana! It’s like driving through the desert at midnight with no headlights and disappearing into the distant rhythm of heartbreak, hope and desperation…I’m Dylan doing nothing but Nashville Skyline.”

Originally from Sevier County in East Tennessee, and now based in southern Colarado, Lucky Overton has over 31 years of experience writing and performing live, original music that is influenced by 1950’s country, 1960’s and 1970’s soul and folk.  ‘College Town‘ is the follow up to Overton’s 2006 release ‘The Portland Sessions-EP.’

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
