Me&You “S.O.L.” – Listen

S.O.L ?  Yeah – well it’s to protect your delicate sensitivities, oh fans of Americana but we are fearless – hear us roar – and we are here to tell you that if you listen to today’s track (and you really should) you will hear the phrase “shit out of luck” on more than one occasion.  Nurse!  The smelling salts please!

Me&you are brother and sister duo Karlee and Connor Hormell and their name can be easily explained – as Karlee says “My brother and I always tell each other: all we have is me and you“.  Makes sense.  The siblings have been playing music together since they were kids, but the band really came to fruition when they went on a month-long campervan trip in the backcountry of New Zealand and ultimately wrote their debut EP, ‘Chasing Trails’.

S.O.L‘  takes a downbeat country vibe and runs with it, reflecting that “I’m kind of broken and I’m kind of stuck / Endlessly hoping /  I’m shit out of luck.” If you’re feeling like you’re a loser – then this is your anthem.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
