Mid Sussex Americana & Ale Festival returns for third year

Back for a third time is one of Americana UK’s favourite summertime events – the Mid Sussex Americana and Ale festival. Hosted by James Walker (managing director of Brighthelmstone Promotions and At The Helm records), a number of acts announced for the festival last Friday were Noble Jacks, Danny George Wilson of Danny and the Champions of the World (performing a solo set), Trevor Moss and Hannah Lou, Porchlight Smoker and Ben Featherstone. Today, in an AUK exclusive we can announce that the second wave of acts to appear, include headliners William The Conqueror, alongside Lucas & King and Loud Mountains.

Loose music artists, William the Conqueror, have been growing their fanbase following the release of latest album, ‘Bleeding on the Soundtrack’ backed up by an extensive touring schedule. Of their latest record which merited a 9/10 review, Americana UK said “the band project driver by singer-songwriter Ruarri Joseph seem to be making their bid for the big time”, a theme echoed in a recent review of their recent 21 date tour where we said: “William the Conqueror appear better placed than most – with their combination of rock, indie, Americana and grunge – to break through to the mainstream.”

Set in gorgeous countryside, the Mid Sussex Americana and Ale festival is held at the Hassocks hotel in Hassocks, a mere stone’s throw from the station. Tickets for the festival are available here
The winner of two free tickets to the festival in the recent prize draw was Lesley Follington. Congratulations Lesley!
