Mt. Joy “Silver Lining” – Listen

Coming out of that strain of folk-rock that revels in epic sounds and vocals that soar to the heights, Mt. Joy deliver a mighty powerful punch on ‘Silver Lining’, which is taken from their debut album which in turn is about to have its European release.  Starting as a trio and releasing material through Spotify they, to their own surprise, attracted millions of plays and the big time beckoned.  Rounded out to a full six-piece unit they’ll play three dates in the UK in July – the 18th see’s them at London’s Paper Dress Vintage, the 19th is Rivertown Festival in Bristol and finally on the 20th Larmer Tree Festival.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
