Ryan Hamilton & The Harlequin Ghosts “Jesus & John Lennon” – Listen

Ryan Hamilton & The Harlequin Ghosts have a new album ‘Nowhere To Go But Everywhere‘ out on September 18th. It’s inspired but travels across the USA, and features some special artwork, as Ryan Hamilton explains “I actually own Jack Kerouac’s belt, I got it from the folks who handle his estate. It’s a cherished possession. The belt is actually pictured on the back of the new album art. Kerouac is a hero, and because of the way this album was written, his spirit is all over it“.

This first single from it is also something a little special, as it is a co-write with Steve Van Zandt. It’s a song, Hamilton says, that is about fate: “Do you ever feel like, no matter what, some things are destined to fall apart? No matter what you do, the end result is the same. This song is about that, and I was thrilled to take the concept, and the song, to the next level, by having the opportunity to co-write it with Stevie Van Zandt.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
