Set sail with Hannah Lou and Trevor Moss on their maiden voyage

For their fifth album ‘Fair Lady London,’ due for release on the 23rd of November, Hannah Lou and Trevor Moss have teamed up with Del Day and Danny Wilson’s Maiden Voyage record label. To celebrate its release they’re also embarking on another one of their quirky tours – this time of independent record stores, including an ‘Invite Only’ playback at Del and Danny’s Union Music Store in Lewes on November 16th.

Formerly of Indigo Moss and Danny & The Champions of The World, Trevor Moss and Hannah-Lou put their career on hold for a few years to have a baby. The husband and wife indie-folk duo are renowned for following a singularly unconventional path, previous tours having been undertaken in village halls, tabernacle churches, working men’s clubs and canal boats.

Such a DIY work ethic is a refreshing change in the music industry, and also informs their attitude to recording. While previous album ‘Expatriot’ benefited from the luxury of a full studio with input from renowned record producer Ethan Johns, this time they’ve stripped everything back, recording ‘Fair Lady London’ on an old Tascam 4-track recorder in a castle in East Sussex.

Speaking about their new label signing Del Day said: “We are thrilled to have Trevor and Hannah on our label. Obviously, both have history with Danny over the years as part of the early incarnation of Danny & The Champions Of The World, and we have both loved all their previous albums and seen them perform many times. To put ‘Fair Lady London‘ out on Maiden Voyage is a real honour for us and a perfect fit for everyone involved.”

To further continue the nautical theme, Hannah and Trevor’s formal album launch will be held on the 29th of November from Tamesis Dock (Tamesis is a converted 1930’s Dutch barge, permanently moored between Lambeth & Vauxhall Bridge).

The 180GSM LP and CD are both due for release on the Maiden Voyage label on 23/11/18.
