Something for the weekend: Jeff Tweedy “UR-60 Unsent”

That’s a wrap from us this week. If you are in or around Liverpool come and see UK Americana royalty Peter Bruntnell at the Outpost and make us feel like we are not so alone in this terrifying world we now live in. In the meantime, we leave you dearest of readers with a new song by Wilcoer Jeff Tweedy taken from the latest Sub Pop Singles Club. The 7″ features two new solo tracks from the prolific frontman: The A-side is ‘C’mon America,’ a sardonic classic rocker “from an unreleased group of songs with mostly sci-fi lyrics.” The B-side on the other hand which you can listen to below is ‘UR-60 Unsent,’ which feels like as good a Wilco style rambling ballad as you’ll hear – “a pitiful tale of an unsent lovesick mixtape, taken from a separate batch of unreleased songs with mostly pitiful lyrics.”
