Sunny Ozell “Two Trains” – Listen to Little Feat covered

That would, presumably, make this a socks or shoes version of the song?  Possibly sandals.  Anyway, Sunny Ozell’s latest release is a fine cover of the classic Little Feat song, which was recorded in the sessions that formed Ozell’s second album ‘Overnight Lows’ which was released in 2019.   Perhaps unsurorisngly there’s nostalgia at play her as Sunny Ozell explained: “My parents played loads of great music in our ‘79 Ford Bronco. Road trips meant Jackson Brown, Fleetwood Mac, Traffic, Crosby Stills and Nash. But I always particularly loved Little Feat, as I was understandably drawn to Lowell George’s singing—compelling, raw, and so so musical. Covering ‘Two Trains’ was a wholly selfish act…slipping into those vocal lines was so pleasurable it felt downright hedonistic. I hope my indulgent pleasure comes across in this recording. We could all use a little indulgence these days…”

Indeed we could.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
