It’s time for our annual readers poll again, and while normally we’d say things like “I can’t believe it’s been a year since the last poll, doesn’t time just fly” etc. mainly because we’re all about 80, this year has felt like a decade, and a decade in which most artists have either released covers albums or acoustic reinterpretations of their back catalogue played on colanders and wooden spoons. Still, there’s arguably never been a more important year to support music and actually there have been some diamonds in the rough out there, some gems among the cracker rings.
As always you can choose up to 3 picks for each category although please note if you just put the same artist in every single artist category and leave the rest blank then your vote will be discounted (as punishment for being lazy). Get your votes in using the form below please by midnight on Friday 18th December 2020 and we’ll try and count the votes in time for Christmas. One winner will be randomly drawn who’ll win some nice sealed promo CDs we have lying around AUK Towers. Happy voting!
>>> Please help to support musicians affected by the coronavirus crisis in the UK by donating £2 a month to us - we'll send you an exclusive 20 track curated playlist every month plus the opportunity to win tickets and CDs. Click here for more information.
It’s going to be interesting to see how different this is from last year – when what The Delines didn’t win Yola did!
The good thing about Readers Poll is it does what it says on the tin. Any reader can influence the final results simply by expressing their own personal preferences.
