The Gabbard Brothers “Too Much To Feel” – Listen

The demise of Buffalo Killers saw Zachary and Andy Gabbard set off on a somewhat new direction as a duo.  The singer-songwriters have retained a nod to bands such as Buffalo Springfield, and there’s a real early Neil Young in particular to ‘Too Much to Feel’, their new single, but it’s all filtered through a fuzzed and hazy sensibility.

The Gabbard Brothers sum their new song up as “a musical middle finger to the bigots, racists and folks holding on to an old, outdated way of thinking.”  Can’t imagine who they are thinking of….but it’s a song full of sentiments that we heartily agree with, and the path to the future is as stated: “you’re all just dinosaurs get out of the way now“.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
