The Jaws Of Brooklyn “Fever” – Burn, Baby, Burn

Born from the meeting of Radio Raheem’s three members (Zia Uddin-Drums, Paul Christofferson-Bass, Bryan Cohen-Guitar) with singer Lindsay Love.  The place – Seattle.  The time – the height of the 2020 portion of the COVID pandemic in August 2020.  The result?  Sassy garage rock influenced recordings in the same vein as Alabama Shakes or Chuck Prophet.  Cool stuff, we’re sure you’ll agree.

‘Fever’ has Love embracing (it says here) every facet of being a woman – especially anger, and being unabashedly unapologetic in showing up fully in every expression of emotion, despite how “unattractive” or unacceptable it might be to society.  She just sounds like someone who knows what they want to us, and there’s nothing wrong with that, is there?

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
