The Lost Brothers announce special Dublin show with Howe Gelb

It has just been announced that on Friday June 8th the Lost Brothers, Oisin Leech and Mark McCausland, will have very special guests at their homecoming gig at Dublin’s historic Liberty Hall Theatre on Eden Quay. For one night only the Irish duo will be joined onstage by the Tuscon Arizona band with whom they recorded their recent critically acclaimed album.

The band will include indie legend, PJ Harvey collaborator and Giant Sand main man, Howe Gelb who co-produced The Lost Brothers’ album, ‘Halfway Towards a Feeling’ which we reviewed here.  Also flying into Dublin is Steve Wickham from the Waterboys and Giant Sand members Gabriel Sullivan and Thoger T. Lund Lunde. On percussion will be Bob Dylan’s long time touring drummer Winston Watson. “We are excited to have the actual band that we made the album with coming to perform the record in Dublin” says Oisin Leech. “Gabriel and Howe recorded these songs with us last year in a small hut in the Tuscon Desert. Songs that we wrote in Navan and Omagh! Now we get to perform them in the stunning Liberty Hall Theatre- which has it’s own incredible story- it should be a lot of fun. It’s brilliant to have Steve Wickham coming because we worked on the songs for two years with Steve in Sligo before heading out to Howe in Arizona.”

With the unique Dublin gig fast approaching The Lost Brothers have also unveiled a new video from their acclaimed new album- filmed and created by Irish director Myles O’Reilly.
