Video: Al Lewis “Symud ‘mlaen (Moving On)”

The new album from Al Lewis, ‘Te Yn Y Grug’ (‘Tea in the Heather’), is a beautiful piece of work.  60 years ago, Welsh author Dr Kate Roberts released a book of short stories with the same title. Roberts herself was inspired by the sweeping landscapes and village-life of her native North Wales.  Roberts’ stories provided the inspiration for the lyrics and an overall concept for the album.  Lewis’s voice is delicate but can also soar with the uplifting melody and is perfectly suited to this project.  Sit back and listen.
