Video: Brit Taylor “Broken Heart Breaks”

An excellent video, featuring a first mime-murder for AUK, accompanies the new single from Brit Taylor.  The team around Taylor exudes quality and pedigree.  ‘Broken Heart Breaks’ was written by Taylor, Joe Allen and Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.  There’s also harmonica from Mickey Raphael (Willie Nelson; Chris Stapleton) to complement Taylor’s smooth, emotive vocal and it’s all put together by Grammy-nominated producer Dave Brainard.  This is superbly crafted Americana with a steel performance that actually sounds like heart-break would if it were an instrument to be played.

It’s taken from the brand new album, ‘Real Me’, of which Taylor says: “It took me 30 years to figure out who the real me is.  I’m glad I found her.”  After a series of personal setbacks and a period of deep reflection, Taylor has produced a set of authentic, emotional songs that come from the heart and are instantly engaging.  Check out the mime artists when they join the band – it’s musicianship of the highest order.  Enjoy.
