Video: Foreign Affairs “One Minute”

The new single from Foreign Affairs is driven by an intense, emotional vocal performance.  The mood is reinforced by the simplicity of the video.  It’s a dramatic, engaging approach that feels like an intimate confession.   The Bristol-based duo (brothers, Adam and Lawrence Purnell) explain: “It sets our stall out exactly as we are.  We like writing catchy, uplifting festival type songs, but with the music we grew up listening to it’s also really important that we draw on the harder hitting things in life.”  This is the first new music from Foreign Affairs since the well-received 2018 EP, ‘The Old Fire Station’.  The more direct, less chorus-based song-writing suits them.  Enjoy.
