Video: Josh Rouse “Miracle”

It’s retro Friday once again and, this week, we bring you the classic song ‘Miracle’ by Josh Rouse.  This song first appeared on the 2002 album ‘Under Cold Blue Stars’ but many will remember it from the wonderful compilation album ‘Uncut: Sounds of the New West Vol. 3 The Best of Americana 2001’.  The original is a beautiful song, full of hope and joy.  This version was recorded on tour in London and Rouse’s song truly comes to life on the stage.  From Nebraska to Spain via Nashville, Josh Rouse has enjoyed a rich and varied journey and he has produced music to match.  If you follow Rouse’s career after his move to Spain, you’ll find a distinct Mediterranean flavour, including some songs in Spanish.  However, for today, we can look back to when Josh Rouse was celebrated as one of the ‘Sounds of the New West’.
