Video: Levon Helm “Poor Old Dirt Farmer”

This is retro Friday.  And this is Americana.  Levon Helm was famously the drummer and one of the vocalists for The Band.  He also released fabulous solo material.  This is from the 2007 comeback album, ‘Dirt Farmer’, which won the Grammy for Best Traditional Folk Album.  He would go on to win the Grammy for Best Americana Album twice.  Few could play the drums like Helm.  Few could sing like him.  Even fewer could do both at the same time.  Levon Helm was a rare talent indeed.  Enjoy.
