Video: Margo Price “Letting Me Down”

There are very few who can sing and craft a song like Margo Price.  When Price sings: “Everybody’s lonely, oh babe, just look around,” it feels perfect for the strange times we’re living in.   To add further star-quality, as if it were needed, Sturgill Simpson has co-produced the new single and contributed backing vocals.  Co-written with Jeremy Ivey, ‘Letting Me Down’ is about a couple of teenagers, trying to escape their everyday lives.

The video for ‘Letting Me Down’ has been released to coincide with the announcement of Price’s hotly-anticipated new album, ‘That’s How Rumors Get Started’, due out on 10th July.  Although the new record has been delayed, Price has been keeping busy during the lock-down, releasing a surprise live album, ‘Perfectly Imperfect at The Ryman’, recorded during her three-night residency and benefitting the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.  You can find it exclusively on Bandcamp.  Enjoy.
