Video Premiere: Love Me in the Dark “Old Soul”

This is the international video premiere of the new lyric video from Love Me in the Dark.  The voices of Steve McCormick and Heather Donavon blend beautifully.  The two met on stage five years ago and have never looked back.  With a memorable melody, gently atmospheric slide guitar and gorgeous harmonies, ‘Old Soul’ is an engaging listen.  The duo’s soon-to-be released album features a host of fabulous players, including Grammy-winner Keb’ Mo’, and will be well-worth checking out.

The Grammy-nominated Melody Gardot has said of Love Me in the Dark: “You guys sound so good together it’s weird.”  For today’s premiere, we have an exclusive quote from the band: “Old Soul is Love Me in the Dark’s attempt to conjure timelessness in a song, that seemingly effortless quality that exudes from some of the best, where you can’t place when or where it was written, or in which lifetime you met your special soulmate. To that end it starts a capella, two voices in the wilderness, and builds with congregation as people come together to find community on earth. That is the crux of it. If it works, the listener can close their eyes and imagine their own sacred places and be transported for a few chimeric and dreamlike moments.”
