Video Premiere: Millar Jukes “Home”

‘Home’ is the third single from Millar Jukes, a Scottish born singer-songwriter now based in Melbourne, Australia.  The song is about finding your place in the world.  As Jukes explains: “It’s about feeling lost in life and feeling heavy with anxiety as your life hasn’t turned out the way you wanted it to until you find that one person who picks you up and makes life worth living.”

With a soulful, bluesy vocal over a strong beat and a country twang, Jukes has created an engagingly emotive song and although he sings, “Worry holds me down like a ship with an anchor,” it’s ultimately positive and hopeful.  For all his troubles, love makes him stronger and carries him home.

After great success with his first two singles, ‘Fire’ and ‘Fangs’, Jukes is set to release his debut full-length album early in 2021.  On the strength of this, it should be well-worth looking forward to.  Enjoy.
