Video Premiere: The Jorgensens “Miles”

Take to the road with the latest single from The Jorgensens.  Based around a strong rhythm and excellent, clear melodic vocals from Brianna Jorgensen, ‘Miles’ is immediately engaging.  It’s upbeat, foot-tapping stuff that, unsurprisingly, is great to drive along to.  A highlight of the song is Kurt Jorgensen’s guitar, which slides and slips and swirls to great effect.  In the video, footage from the studio is interspersed with well-shot and edited images from the car that have an aged, sun-drenched, home-video feel.

The band is led by Kurt and Brianna Jorgensen, whose vocal harmonies are at the heart of their music.  The duo met in 2014 when both were going through difficult times.  Their musical connection helped get them through and, as they created new music together, their bond continued to strengthen.  Though they started out as musical collaborators, they ultimately married and forged a life together beyond music.  They also formed The Jorgensens, a soulful group that now features the additional talents of Andra Lee Suchy (vocals), Brenda Lee King (Bass Guitar), Jeff King (Saxophone, Clarinets), Jeff Levine (Trumpet), Mark O’ Day (Drums, Percussion), and C Harris (Percussion), complementing Kurt’s guitar and multi-instrumentalist Brianna.

This single is taken from their recent full-length album ‘Americana Soul’, a title that sums up their blend of musical styles.  It’s infectious.  It’s melodic.  Above all, it’s entertaining and enjoyable.  Check it out.
