Video: Tiny Ruins “Dorothy Bay”

Tiny Ruins mine murky territory in the new video for ‘Dorothy Bay’.  Hollie Fullbrook and her band; Cass Basil, Alex Freer and Tom Healy are filmed in muted hues of pink in this dreamy video directed by Alexander Gander.  Shot on the shores of New Zealand’s Manakau Harbour, the visual images match the muted but menacing sound of the song.  Fuzz guitar and dry drums move things along.  The landscape plays as big a role in the video of the band as they are pictured playing alone and together in many outdoor scenes.

Of the lyrics Fullbrook says, “(I)probably played them very sadly and delicately on an acoustic guitar. I’m glad that’s not what the album is now. The first time I played these songs to the bandmates I just felt so vulnerable.”

‘Dorothy Bay’ is the first single from the upcoming ‘Ceremony’ album due in stores and on streaming services on 28th April via Marathon Artists.
