Walled Garden Music Festival announced for July

Nottingham’s Cosmic American Music has teamed up with the historic Thoresby Park in Sherwood Forest to curate a brand new Americana and Roots festival within the grounds of the estate in North Nottinghamshire, a stone’s throw from Robin Hood’s famous Major Oak.

The festival will be held in the fabulous 5 acre Walled Garden over the weekend of 10th to 12th July this summer and feature some terrific names within the americana genre, kicking off with an intimate Friday night session all the way from Dallas from Bloodshot’s Vandoliers. The line-up of over 30 acts takes place over 2 stages including established favourites Peter Bruntnell and Wreckless Eric, some newer kids on the block like Curse of Lono with well respected local bands like Most Ugly Child, Lawrence County and Banjo Jen in support.

The organisers have stated that this “is no festival in a field as Thoresby Park offers plenty of other “ between the acts” entertainment supported by several local breweries and with 3 nights camping included in the weekend ticket price of only £69 this truly is a bargain festival with a big Americana bang for your buck.” Tickets and more details can be found over at the Walled Garden official website here.
