Watchhouse is Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz embarking on a new artistic journey into an uncharted wilderness — and finding a clarity of purpose through it all.  Their new direction isn’t so different from their old direction but, says Marlin “We’re different people than when we started this band.  We’re setting new intentions, taking control of this thing again.

Beautiful Flowers‘ gently questions the American obsession with the automobile – and the petrol internal combustion engine in particular.   It’s taken from the band’s new album ‘Watchhouse’ which is out August 13 on Tiptoe Tiger Music / Thirty Tigers.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
