William Prince to tour UK in June

William Prince has announced he will tour as a duet with Serena Ryder, including six dates starting in Nottingham next month. The pair have released a new single, ‘Sing me a Song’, ahead of the tour. Depending on location, support comes from Tom Bright, Katie Gregson-McLeod, Maz O’Connor, and Dani Larkin. The Canadian-born member of the Peguis First Nation released his third album at the end of 2020, ‘Gospel First Nation‘, which got a healthy amount of airtime on Bob Harris’ BBC 2 Country show. Americana UK caught up with him when he supported Yola at the end of 2019.

List of tour dates:

13/06 – Manchester, Gullivers w/ Tom Bright
14/06 – Bristol, Louisiana w/ Tom Bright
15/05– Nottingham, The Bodega w/ Tom Bright
16/06 – Edinburgh, The Mash House w/ Katie Gregson-McLeod

Prince said of the new song: “It captures my friend Serena Ryder and I communicating through our most comfortable language. Singing and playing music. Letting admiration, respect and love for another give life to humanity’s oldest story.”.
