Something for the weekend: Willie Nelson “Busted”

That’s it from us for another week. If you’re one of our supporters, a. thank you and b. look out for your lovely shiny new playlist which should land in your mailbox about 5pm. In the meantime, we leave you with a track from the Duracell bunny of americana, Willie Nelson who has another new album due next month called ‘I Don’t Know A Thing About Love,’ in which he takes on 10 of Harlan Howard’s classics. And who you might ask is Harlan Howard? Harlan Howard was an overlooked legend who died in 2002, and co/wrote songs such as Guy Mitchell’s “Heartaches By The Number,” Patsy Cline’s “I Fall To Pieces,” and Buck Owens’ “I’ve Got A Tiger By The Tail.” More importantly, he coined the now-familiar adage about country music being “three chords and the truth.” Imagine having that one under your belt. Have a good one.
