The Attention Seekers “Sweet Anna Brown” – tracking down an enigma

Anna Brown, she’s one long mystery and doesn’t appear to have any social media presence…

It’s always a pleasure to share new material from Newcastle’s Attention Seekers, who are back this week with a terrific new song called Sweet Anna Brown. The band’s Alan Fish told us: “With our first release of 2026 we step into the controversial world of social media. Whether we like it or not it looks like it’s going to be with us for the foreseeable future. It was whilst I was unsuccessfully trying to track down an old friend and finding myself disappearing down numerous rabbit holes that it occurred to me that this would make an interesting topic for a song”.

The track, which was recorded at Cluny Studios in Newcastle features Fish on vocals, guitars and bass, Trevor Brewis on drums and Tony Davis on piano, organ and backing vocals. Fish produced it, and Davis engineered it, so you know, multi-talented. The song is available now to stream/download via all the usual platforms.
