The Hackles announce May UK tour dates

The Hackles have announced a month-long UK tour taking in most of May 2024. The tour begins with the Shetland Folk Festival in the first week if the month followed by a week of dates in Scotland after which they cross the border for performances in England and Wales over the next fortnight.

Hailing from the oldest settlement west of the Rocky Mountains – Astoria on the Columbia River – The Hackles made their live UK debut in 2023 with a UK tour that included an appearance at Glasgow’s Celtic Connections. Reviewing that show for Americana UK, Paul Kerr said: “the Oregon-based trio, three superb musicians and singers, played a set which was at times almost hypnotic.”

The trio comprise Kati Claborn, Luke Ydstie and Halli Anderson who all play a variety of stringed instruments and sing, with their harmonies being a key element of their sound.  Their latest album is  ‘What A Beautiful Thing I Have Made’ (2023) which includes ‘James’ Drink’ which you can listen to below.
