Our new playlist of the best new Americana we’ve heard over the last month is out later today exclusively for AUK supporters which includes new tracks by Teenage Fanclub, Allison Russell, Margo Cilker, Wilco and Old Crow Medicine Show among others, and if you’re one of our supporters, this month you can win tickets to see legendary British folk rockers Fairport Convention on one of their UK dates over the next few weeks. Starting in Lowdham’s The Village Hall tonight, the nationwide jaunt will take in 25 dates across England, Scotland and Wales, before winding up at The Exchange in Twickenham on Saturday 4th November, and some dates are already sold out. This follows an already packed year of shows – including the band’s Winter Tour earlier in the year,
With more than half a century’s back catalogue to choose from, fans can expect to hear long-established Fairport favourites, surprises from albums old and new, and maybe even the odd unexpected cover.
We give away something nice each month to one of our supporters alongside the curated playlist, which helps us to keep the website afloat – you can become one for just £2 a month here. In the meantime, here are those dates!
