John Francis Flynn’s atmospheric and somewhat unsettling take on ‘Kitty‘ is taken from his recent release ‘Look Over The Wall, See The Sky’. It tells the story of a man about to head out on the lam making a final farewell to his girl – but John Francis Flynn’s is a deconstructed and remade for a modern ear version of folk. You may know the song from The Pogues’ debut album ‘Red Roses For Me’, but this is a strikingly different take.
