Dates will be alongside AMAUK award appearance.

Four times Grammy Award-winning singer, composer and actor Lyle Lovett has announced a UK and Ireland tour for January 2025. The live dates kick off on 19th January at the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow, then take in Dublin and Belfast before concluding with two nights at London’s Cadogan Hall. Lovett will be accompanied by his Acoustic Group.

Whilst in London, Lovett will attend the UK Americana Awards on Thursday 23rd January at Hackney Church, where he will receive the International Trailblazer Award. Selected by the Americana Music Association UK board members, this special award celebrates an international artist that has taken an exceptional path, inspiring others to follow in their footsteps in developing the Americana genre.

The upcoming performances will feature songs from across Lovett’s extensive catalogue, including his latest album, “12th of June”, which was produced by Lovett and Chuck Ainlay. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the record further highlights Lovett’s ability to fuse elements of jazz, country, western swing, folk, gospel and blues in a manner that breaks down barriers.

Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums. Since his self-titled debut in 1986, he has evolved into one of music’s most vibrant performers. Among his many accolades, besides four Grammy Awards, he was given the US Americana Music Association’s inaugural Trailblazer Award, was named Texas State Musician and is a member of both the Texas Heritage Songwriters’ Association Hall of Fame and the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame.
