Maygen & The Birdwatcher embrace joy with their new single ‘Millie Moon’. The group includes lead vocalist Maygen Lacey, vocalist/guitarist Noah Neumann and banjo player Nik Pellinen with mandolin player Jesse Maravec. The track is a single pulled from their upcoming full-length album ‘The Americana Dream’. The song features Appalachian tinged vocals and bluegrass influenced instrumentation over a solid drum beat. This is perfect music for warm summer evenings.
Guitarist Neumann shares the roots of the song, “Thejourney out of the briars into accepting and welcoming joy. The melody and the tone of this song were something we really wanted to make very sing and dance-along friendly, to encourage everyone to experience joy.”
‘The Americana Dream’ is due October 10 via Yellow House Music Collective / Missing Piece Records. The Minnesota based group will tour the U.S. to support the release.
