Nashville’s Striking Matches celebrate 10th anniversary of debut with UK tour dates

Striking Matches

Nashville duo Striking Matches ignited their career with debut “Nothing But The Silence” released on IRS in 2015 and produced by T Bone Burnett.

The years between haven’t quite lived up to the start, at least commercially. The duo, which comprises singer-songwriters Justin Davis and Sarah Zimmerman, released a series of EPs on independent label Tone Tree Music and had nine songs featured on ABC’s “Nashville” television series.

Striking Matches is a guitar-driven duo that blends country, rock, and blues with tight harmonies and dual lead guitar work. They’ve performed at the Grand Ole Opry and have built their career on relentless touring.

They built a strong following in the UK through multiple tours and appearances at major festivals like C2C, but haven’t toured here for a few years. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of “Nothing But the Silence”, the band is returning with a fresh set of dates. The tour will feature material from the “Nothing But The Silence” album, as well as new songs that will be released in 2026. You can see the video for ‘Missing You Tonight’ from the album below.

The tour dates are listed here, and tickets can be obtained at this link.
