Mortimer explains: “The song is about refusing to let other people’s opinions define what’s possible for you. I’ve spent many years in this industry and, like so many women, I’ve experienced what it feels like to be unfairly criticised or pushed aside.”
SJ Mortimer has found success and critical acclaim as lead singer with the UK band Morganway, an act that will be well known to many AUK readers.
