Robert Vincent “My Neighbour’s Ghost” – Listen

It must be quite a ride being Robert Vincent – a couple of years ago we’d be listing out his CV, mentioning this and that EP, and generally inviting our beloved readership to cock an ear to what he was laying down.  And now – well we can safely assume that Robert Vincent is a name that our readership would know by now.   Life is strange (although, we concede, compared to what ?).

This latest single comes from Robert Vincent’s album  ‘In This Town You’re Owned’ produced by Ethan Johns and out on Thirty Tigers in February.  Robert Vincent sees it as his most socially & politically poignant release to date on which he’s dealing in hard truths and easy melodies – here there’s definitely a feel of Rockabilly via Dave Edmunds.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
