Video: Waiting For Smith “Long Life”

In challenging times, we need something to lift the mood.  Well, Harry Lloyd, AKA Waiting For Smith, sings here: “It’s a long life to sing a sad song.”  This is sincere, earnest, uplifting music.  Lloyd, who broke his back in two places while skiing in the Alps, says: “I wrote ‘Long Life’ while I was recovering from my injury, it became my upbeat theme tune for dealing with disaster.”

The light-hearted video was recorded in Spain, just weeks before the lock-down. Lloyd explains: “This song was planned for release months ago, not knowing it would be so suited for the time we’re in. So I’m hoping it will bring others as much comfort and lightness as it gave me when I needed it.”  Waiting For Smith is named for the original drummer who became known for never showing up on time.  Give this a listen – it’ll brighten up your day.
