Loretta Lynn’s upcoming album, her fourth on the Legacy label, is a celebration of Women in Country Music. It’s called ‘Still Woman Enough’ and it will be out on March 19th and features as guest artists Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Margo Price and Tanya Tucker. It’s being counted as Lynn’s 50th studio album – a number only achieved by neglecting to tally up the ten albums with Conway Twitty and any non-studio albums. Fifty – or sixty – albums, that’s some Legacy.
As a celebration of the women of country ‘Still Woman Enough’ goes way back to Mother Maybelle Carter and the Carter Family (via a cover of ‘Keep On The Sunny Side’) and then through a new interpretation of Loretta Lynn’s very first single, ‘I’m A Honky Tonk Girl.‘ There are special collaborations with Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood (‘Still Woman Enough’), and duets with Margo Price (‘One’s On The Way‘) and Tanya Tucker (‘You Ain’t Woman Enough’).
