This is the lowest of the low lo-fi recording, and an unmined nugget to boot. Bill Stone started out playing in a few small folk ensembles and stepping out with occasional solo gigs, which led to the 1969 recording of Stone on a 2-track Panasonic tape recorder of an album’s worth of material in a pottery studio in Boothbay, Maine. Who else but Drag City would be responsible for bringing this long lost – and even unkown – little gem out into the daylight?
